Join Heston Blumenthal, creator of The Fat Duck and Dinner at The Mandarin Oriental, and Jancis Robinson, Financial Times wine correspondent, as they host an evening devoted to the pleasures of afternoon tea and sherry.
Explore the ritual of afternoon tea and how it has inspired Heston Blumenthal’s celebrated and pioneering culinary style, and taste 24 sherries imported in the UK from eight top sherry houses, including Lustau, Osborne and Williams & Humbert. A rare opportunity to taste the great aperitif the British made famous, and which is now experiencing a renaissance in top restaurants around the world.
The sherry tasting runs from 6pm to 7.15pm in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer. On presentation of your ticket, you will be free to browse and sample sherries from eight sherry houses, before moving through to Queen Elizabeth Hall for the 7.30pm talk.
